True Blood left us with unanswered questions last season.
- Will Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) be able to bring Bill Compton back to his humanity?
- Who is M. Warlow?
- Why is Warlow coming for Sookie?
- What happened with Sam, Luna and Emma?
- Will Lafayette conquer his inner brujo?
| - Is Billith the new big bad for season 6?
- How are the humans going to react to Emma's (Steve Newlin) announcement that the vampires were not as they seemed to the public?
- Who will be the new face of vampires now that The Authority is dissolved?

True Blood Spoiler: Brothers & Sisters Grad to Play the 'Jim Morrison of Vampires'
Bon Temps is about to bear witness to quite an anomaly: a vampire with more substance than style. True Blood has tapped Brothers & Sisters alum Luke Grimes play the recurring role of James, a circa ’70s-made vamp who is smart, spiritual and emotionally deeper than any other bloodsucker we’ve seen before, TVLine has learned exclusively. | Picture a cross between Jim Morrison and Gary Clark Jr. with even more of a poet’s edge. The dude’s every women’s dream come true, and he doesn’t even know it. Grimes, who spent two seasons on Brothers & Sisters as William Walker’s love child Ryan, is set to debut at the midway point of the HBO hit’s sixth season (which is slated to premiere in June).

True Blood Spoiler: From Temptation To True Blood: Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s New Gig
As was previously announced, actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell has joined the cast of HBO’s True Blood. In this role she will play a series regular named Nicole. Her character seems to be on the straight and narrow and is described as a “wide-eye character who is not concerned with money and more concerned with the common good and doing what’s right.”
[NICOLE JANNSEN] Bi-Racial (African American / Caucasian) Mid 20s. A true bleeding heart. She’s not at all concerned with money, she’s concerned with the common good and doing what’s right. Probably went to Bryn Mawr and drives an old Saab. Life hasn’t beaten her down yet. She and her band of well-meaning liberal advocates model themselves after the civil rights activist “Freedom Riders” of the Sixties. True Blood Spoiler: 'True Blood' Season Six, Carrie Preston Says It Best
Carrie Preston in her interview with HuffPost gave an intriguing clue into what Trubies can expect in the upcoming sixth season. “It still has the flavor of ‘True Blood,’ as it always will, but it does have something — a little spring in its step in an interesting way, I think. Everybody is finding the new chemistry between all of that and all those players. And of course, with ‘True Blood,’ there’s always still a million new characters that are being introduced. I don’t know how they keep that many balls in the air and continue to juggle, but they do.’
And this season, again, they will. But, don’t despair, there will be a huge helping of Bill, Eric, Sookie, Sam, Pam, Tara, Lafayette and our favorites. So, do not fret. A source on the set of “True Blood” tells Highlight Hollywood, “Mark Hudis had a meeting early in January, and he talked things through, and maybe it’s because we have a great team, but everyone is on board for this wild ride. But, Mark does know the core fans were not all happy last year, so he’s hoping to bring them back into the fold,” the source said.
Though Alan Ball isn’t the official honcho or showrunner, he’ll still be involved in a limited basis on some of the plots, just not the main ones. “Tommy, the chemistry this year is incredible. I just hope the fans are excited, because there will be a major event that happens on the season premiere in June, that will restart the clock. It’s definitely something most people want to see, and will be reinvigorated by this show,” our insider tells Highlight Hollywood.
What about Eric? “A big year is planned for him!” Bill? “Things change in the second episode, and Bill fans will be happy as well.” Pam and Tara? “Challenges and egos will play a big part in these two characters.” Sookie, Jason and Rutger Hauer’s character? “Shocking! Game changing,” the source tells Highlight Hollywood. “It’s a war, but nothing like what happened last season.

True Blood Spoilers: Title Change for Episode 3 (Season 6) of HBO’s True Blood ‘Rock Hard Times’ Gets a New Name
Recently, True Blood Net reported that Episode 3, Season 6 of HBO’s True Blood would be titled ‘Rock Hard Times’. As is the case with television shows that are evolving as they are written and filmed, SpoilerTV has reported a name change. Episode 3 will no longer be known as ‘Rock Hard Times’, but has been retitled as ‘Abducted’.'
Along with this name change, there is another casting call. HBO are on the look out for someone to play the recurring guest role of Dr. Overlark. This character is 50-years-old and a ruthless advisor to the Governor, Creighton Burrell (played by Arliss Howard). Along side this role, they are also keen to find someone to fill the role of Hido Takahashi. Hido is another a 50-year-old, but one who likes to talk about himself!
[CREIGHTON BURRELL] Governor of Louisiana (Late 40s-60s) A classic good ol’ boy politician. Governor Burrell has despised vampires since his wife ran off with one, leaving him as a single father to their only daughter, Ali. Governor Burrell is a politically savvy and perhaps overly ambitious fella who tends to let his personal aspirations overshadow his humanity…SERIES REGULAR.
Besides these recurring roles, HBO is also looking for a guest role. Maggie is a 35-year-old woman who is pregnant and thinks her husband has run off with another woman. And, finally, they are looking for co-star roles in the form of two police deputies who have to search a cabin.
So many tasty morsels here. Why was Episode 3′s name changed? And who are all these interesting new characters? At least it will give us something to think about until HBO announces the start date for True Blood.

True Blood Spoiler: From Michael Ausiello at TVLine.com
TV LIne gave a True Blood tidbit today: Question: Looking for some tidbits, morsels or anything on True Blood. I love your site and check it out daily. — Scotty
Ausiello: Thanks, Scotty! This summer, Bon Temps’ vampire population will face something that’s potentially even more dangerous than the sun: Crate & Barrel!I’m sorry, I mean Creighton Burrell. Not only is the new regular character a morally murky politician — and the governor of Louisiana! — but he also has a major hate-on for fangers, owing to the fact that his wife ditched him with their daughter to be with one!

True Blood Spoiler: Ben has been cast for Season 6 of True Blood
Move over, Bill. And Eric. And Alcide. There’s a new man in Sookie’s life — and he’s putting down stakes in Bon Temps.
True Blood has tapped English actor Rob Kazinsky (EastEnders) to join the Season 6 cast as a series regular, TVLine has learned.
Kazinsky — whose biggest TV credit stateside was an arc as a doctor on Brothers & Sisters — will play Ben, a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders. This marks True Blood‘s second major Season 6 hire. As TVLine reported last month, acting vet Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) has also come on board in the series regular role of Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.

True Blood Spoiler: New Casting Call for Nicole Jannsen
True Blood fans have to wait until Season 6 begins this summer to return to Bon Temps — though no official start date has been announced, we’re hearing June is a good bet. In the meantime, we’ve got an intriguing spoiler to tide you over! This week, new showrunner Mark Hudis sent out a casting call for a brand new character — and she’s going to be a major player in the upcoming 10-episode season.
The “True Blood” team is looking for a Caucasian actress in her early 20s to play Nicole Jannsen. A “do-gooder to the core” Nicole is naive, optimistic, and charming — but her idealism is “ultimately vaguely idiotic and dangerous.” Nicole is a key member of a band of well-meaning liberal advocates. The gang models itself after the civil rights activist Freedom Riders of the 1960s, a group of progressive protesters who rode buses from state to state, challenging racial segregation and Jim Crow travel laws. The Freedom Riders were usually arrested, and fell victim to mob violence, Ku Klux Klan beatings, and cruel and unusual punishment in prison.
Don’t expect a secret agenda from Nicole, who will appear as a new series regular character this season. “A true bleeding heart,” Nicole is “not at all concerned with money; she’s concerned with the common good and doing what’s right… Life hasn’t beaten her down yet.” If you’re still not getting a clear picture, the casting call suggests that she went to Bryn Mawr College and drives an old Saab. Time for your dream casting, “True Blood” fans! What young actress do you think would fit in with the gang? How do you think Nicole will come into play, given the regime change in last season’s finale?

| Date: 10/6/2012 True Blood Spoiler: Rutger Hauer joins cast of True Blood as a Season RegularT HR reports that Blade Runner star and genre vet Rutger Hauer has joined the cast of True Blood as a series regular. Season six will feature the actor, starring as Macklyn ( update: now Niall Brigant) — “who has a deep and dark connection to Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her brother, Jason (Ryan Kwanten).” The sixth installment will pick up the story of Sookie and Jason’s attempt to trace the murder of their parents. We met a vampire named Warlow in the fifth season that may be responsible for the orphaned twins’ loss and will most likely figure into Macklyn’s (Niall Brigant's) ties to the Stackhouse tribe. Hauer just completed work on Dario Argento’s recent critical failure — a 3D adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. In 2011, he found a whole new fan base when Jason Eisener’s Hobo with a Shotgun reintroduced the Golden Globe-winning star as an unhinged vigilante. Last season of True Blood saw Law and Order’s Christopher Meloni join the cast, and we’re hoping Hauer sticks around a lot longer. How about you?
