"
I can't help but say "I don't care" when the law enforcement, Jason or Hoyt's mom have 5 to 7-minute scenes. Give me Eric et crew, Bill, Sookie, Jessica, Alcide or the monarchy. "
I couldn't agree more!!!

Isah 1 and AlexJade - I loved Hoyt's mother's scenes in season 2. They added such levity to the drama-laden MaryAnne scene's. She just cracked me up!
I do understand how some characters and some scenes and some story lines just don't jive with some people, that's why I am so glad they have so many characters with so many story lines. There's always something great just around the corner.

Speaking of which - E 5 just around the corner right now : 4 hours and 10 minutes!

"Maria Liisa - I just meant the lines you had in quotes - something like
I'm Estonian. Oh, you're from Finland? Those. I guess they're from the show, but I don't remember where. Was it in the minisode, when Yvetta came to audition?
Finland, also, has been occupied by Sweden, and Russia (not sure about Norway - don't think so)
As far as the Finns and Estonians - I heard my Finnish grandmother say we were related to Estonia (That was many years ago.)."
I think those lines were Maria-Liisa talking to me :D I would remember, if Finland was mentioned in the show. Hasn't been... Estonian and Finnish are related to each other, quite a lot of same words there and grammar, but one still needs quite a lot of work to learn each other languages.

FYI Finland was never occupied by Sweden, it was originally part of Sweden. It was then handed over to Russia, from which it became independent.

btw, Yvetta is a Russian speaking Estonian, right? Because Eric speaks Russian to her, a language unrelated to Estonian.

I admit they were funny but I wish they were minisodes.OR they should just extend the show by 1/2 hour. lol. I don't like them eating up our Viking's time.

"Agree with you akel about the dreams vs the recollections/memories. If all of the dreams we are seeing are inacurate, then we can't rely on anyone's recollections, dreams, or memories. In fact, since everyone has a different perception of what they've seen, witnessed, or done, all of the dreams & memories would be different anyway. Truth always has several versions. "
Memories /and dreams by their very nature are incomplete and biased by the person having them. That's just basic fact.

Just like Eric having a daydream about Sookie and having her say " I couldn't hold a tune in a bucket with the lid on" . Even Sookie wouldn't say something this ridiculously dorky and over the top redneck Southern, but this is Eric's daydream and he may actually see her as being this simple, silly girl , in which case the dialogue fits. Then it suddenly changes to sexy seductress Sookie who knows more stuff than the "cowboy" has ever seen.

Definitely a MALE daydream . LOL!

While, I don't believe vampires dream in th books because they are in fact DEAD during the day ..Bill's little dream probably represented his thoughts, anxieties about what was going on (like his Sookie strangulation dream) and rememberances of his disastrous visit home centuries ago.

Speaking for me personally, I have very vivid dreams, sometiems tied in with recollections and sometiems they are so realistic I can't distinguish them from reality. I possess memories to this day of things I'm not sure really happened. It's the reason I suffer from insomnia constantly, Ihave trouble falling asleep and when I do , my sleepworld is exhausting. That's just me . *shrug*

"This is my biggest issue with the show. Editing has been a problem from the beginning. Trying to sew together so many story lines is going to be a challenge.

From day one the show often seems choppy. .

act in particular was painfully awkward. During bill and sookie's first love scene they jumped around too much. Billookie were lying down and it felt sexy, then Tara lies down with her mom. It went from sexy to wrong in a couple heartbeats."
I'm totally with you on the B/S first love scene, thats an incredibly important scene and inercuttng it with Jason and is current sqeeze and Tara and her mother ws so annoyin and ruined the scene IMO

OMG What a great episode! WOWZAH!!!
I loved every minute : Eric, Bill, Alcide, Sookie, Lorena, Russell, Talbot, Franklin,
Tara, Coot - All in Mississippi! Bill beating up Coot - Franklin crying over Tara -
Eric's flashback - Sookie's magic - and Russell: "FANTASTIC!"

Not to mention Lafayette and the nurse? (forgot his name!) Sooo cute!

"I couldn't hold a tune in a bucket with the lid on" is VERY Sookie-like, it is the Sookie we know from the books and it is nice, how AB brought that Sookie to the front in Eric's dream. It might not be the TB Sookie, but it was a delightful reference to the books.
